Govt pledges 10m for environment in pacific regions’

The Philippines’ Supreme Court ordered President Rodrigo Duterte to address a $2 billion fund for the environment on Tuesday, with the ruling expected to spur another wave of conservation efforts around the nation in 2018.

The fund would pay for about $1.3 billion in projects to improve water quality in rural areas and clean up toxic industrial waste in the interior.

The court said in its ruling that the administration should «pre-emptively allocate» about $2 billion of the money, with the aim of «preventing deterioration» for the environment in the next 10 years.

The court had said it could also order the administration to allocate «at least» about $3.5 billion of the fund under existinatyasastra.comng law to cover the cost of building dams, water-transporting pipelines and other infrastructure.

The ruling comes at a time when the Duterte administration is pushing to modernise the country’s economy with a strategy to boost privanatyasastra.comte sector and industrial activity.

The administration hopes the fund, which would likely be distributed by the ministry 바카라of environment, will bring a boost to the economy.

The environmental protection fund is one of 10 projects the administration has set up in the areas of environment, forest and culture.

Under the rule of President Benigno Aquino III, the government’s environmental rules required the president’s approval for environmental approvals. Aquino’s government has overseen the development of about 1.2 million hectares, or roughly one-quarter the size of the entire country.

In the past few months, Duterte has announced a plan to build four national parks and a national monument in Mindanao, as well as several other conservation and conservation-related measures.

Duterte has also announced a «civic investment fund» that, among other projects, will fund the development of two national parks.

The rule change of 2016 also allowed the government to put on hold the creation of the National Environmental Policy and the Forest Code, which required his signature.
